Fun family photography is incredibly important. You want to capture the natural activity in your family. As a Calgary family photographer I work hard to create exciting and memorable family photos. This session was captured in Fish Creek Park.
Through my experience, I’ve noticed many of my first-time clients approach a photo shoot as a very stressful situation. It certainly doesn’t have to be like that LET’S HAVE FUN. A great way to change up that experience is to welcome your clients with a warm, optimistic, energetic, and friendly personality.
Don’t jump right into the photo session. Ask your clients how they’re doing, make small talk. Reassure them that the photo shoot will be easygoing. And don’t forget about the kids! Ask them what they’re most excited about to ease their nerves.
Try to amp up the excitement about how much fun they’re about to have in front of your lens.
All of this helps ease any tension the family in front of your lens may be feeling and leads to more relaxed and spontaneous photographs.
